Visit Bemidji Online at VillageProfile.com

BEMIDJI, Minn., Jan. 22 // -- The new community map produced for the Bemidji Chamber of Commerce is now online at http://www.villageprofile.com, according to Rick Hamilton, the Chamber's Executive Director.

The new publication was released last week and produced in cooperation with Village Profile, the nation's leading Chamber publisher. Its Mobile Map Publishing Program(TM) (http://www.villageprofile.com/flash/gateway_mobile.html), the only one of its kind available to Chambers of Commerce, provides thousands of print copies; in addition, the map and all advertisements are online at Village Profile's Community Profile Network website http://www.villageprofile.com (a link to the site is also on the Chamber's website).

The community map is interactive, wirelessly accessible at http://www.vpmobile.us via laptop and desktop computers, Blackberrys, Treos, PDAs, smart phones, web-enabled cell phones, and most other mobile devices, and allows users to link directly to advertisers' websites, as well as direct- dial advertisers in real time.

Take a virtual tour of Bemidji -- and 1,400 other communities across the U.S.A. -- on the Community Profile Network(TM) at http://www.villageprofile.com, home of the Internet's largest, most comprehensive community website.

Village Profile, which observes its 20th anniversary in 2008 (http://www.vp-mobile.com/webpromos/20years.html), was the first Chamber publisher to replicate its community profiles, membership directories and maps online. It introduced multi-platform convergence publishing to the Chamber industry in 2002, with traditional print augmented by publication websites, free downloadable NewView(TM) eBooks, CDs, and mobile business directories accessible via wireless handhelds.

For more information, contact the Chamber's project coordinator for the map, Rhonda Eastman, at 765-457-5301 or lparis@paulbunyan.net; or Juli Schatz at Village Profile, 800-600-0134, ext. 219 or julis@villageprofilemail.com.
